The daily care of centrifugal pumps mainly includes the following aspects:
Keep the equipment clean, dry, oil-free and leak-free. Check the running sound of the centrifugal pump every day to see if there is normal vibration and leakage, and deal with the problem in time.
Check the oil level. Check the oil level in the oil chamber of the centrifugal pump suspension every day to see if it is appropriate. It must be kept at 1/3 and 2/3 of the oil mark.
It is forbidden to work in the evacuated state. It is strictly forbidden to operate the centrifugal pump when the liquid in the pool (barrel) is evacuated, because this will cause severe vibration and affect the life of the pump.
Prevent foreign matter from entering. It is strictly forbidden to enter metal objects and flexible materials such as rubber, cotton yarn, plastic cloth, etc. into the centrifugal pump to avoid damaging the flow parts of the water pump and blocking the impeller flow channel.
Check the concentricity. Check the concentricity of the claw coupling regularly.
Check the packing seal. For centrifugal pumps with packing seals, the leakage at the stuffing box should be checked regularly. The normal leakage is 10 to 20 drops per minute; otherwise, the packing gland should be adjusted to loosen the position.
‌Check the bearing temperature. The bearing temperature should be checked regularly, and its maximum temperature should generally not exceed 70℃ to 75℃.
‌Replace the lubricant. Regularly replace the lubricant to ensure good lubrication of moving parts such as bearings and gears, reduce wear and extend service life. At the same time, pay attention to the cleanliness of the lubricant to avoid impurities from mixing and affecting the lubrication effect.
‌Check the piping system. Regularly check whether the support mechanism of the centrifugal pump inlet and outlet pipe system (pipe fittings, valves) is loose, ensure that the support mechanism is firm and the pump body does not bear the support force.
‌Check the foundation fastening bolts. Regularly check the tightness of the foundation fastening bolts of the centrifugal pump to ensure that the connection is firm and reliable.
‌Rust-proof treatment. For centrifugal pumps that have not been used for a long time, they should be turned before activation to check whether the rotation is flexible. If necessary, they can be disassembled and cleaned before assembly.

‌Antifreeze measures‌. In the cold winter season, antifreeze measures should be taken for centrifugal pumps to prevent the water in the pump body and pipeline from freezing and expanding, damaging the equipment‌.

‌Establish maintenance records‌. Establish maintenance records for centrifugal pumps, and record in detail the time, content and results of each inspection and maintenance, so as to track the operating status of the equipment and discover potential problems in a timely manner‌.
